‘I’m constantly fighting to prove who I am’ New Zealand artist Ladyhawke on JBTV

“Being a female musician, I get second guessed constantly. I feel like I’m constantly fighting to prove who I am”- The nomadic New Zealand native, Ladyhawke, chats with Jerry and plays some old and new tunes on her first US television appearance!

In this JBTV Podcast episode, Ladyhawke chats with Jerry about the beginning of her music career, which started when she put up songs on Myspace. She spent 2007 writing and recording in London, before touring her first album in 2008. Ladyhawke talks about all of her different homes, confessing that a family vacation to Disneyland and Hawaii and the London weather eventually prompted her to move to LA, where she currently resides. We also get to hear all about the recording and writing process of her latest album “Wild Things,” which she worked on with producer Tommy English.
