This week sees the return of the annual “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work” Day, and Car Con Carne is a proud participant!
For this special edition, I took my daughter and son to the Grayslake location of Dog’n Suds, the well-known drive-in chain. Over footlong hot dogs and root beer, we talk about pressing concerns like:
- Nap habits
- Favorite snacks and meals
- Favorite subjects in school
- “Snack” hot dogs
- The “ceremonial” aspect of serving vegetables for dinner
- The children’s general interest in becoming broadcasters (spoiler warning: OUCH.)
